Okay, so this first blog entry was written about 2 weeks ago - and before I had a chance to post, I was identified as google as a possible 'spammer' and I was locked out! I know - funny, but the dumb thing just got 'unlocked' today. Jeesh! So, here's my old one - and I'll go from there. haha!
Today I had a pretty good day. I baked 2 cakes and dinner this afternoon, all while the baby was taking a nap! (yes, it was a long nap) haha For whatever reason, I took the challenge from a friend who loves yellow cake with chocolate frosting (I know - yuck), and made one for him. I have to say, we are not fans of this flavor! Since this friend did not know it was humanly possible to make frosting from scratch, and had only had yellow cake from a box, I figured it was only right for me to make him one. So, we'll see tomorrow when I send it in to work with Ben.
Tonight we had Will and Charlie's baseball practice - 2nd week for WIll, 1st for Charlie. Charlie really had a blast! His is at 5:30 and Will's is at 6:30pm. After Charlie was finished, he helped outfield and run bases for Will's team. He was burning rubber around the bases all night - I bet he sleeps good tonight! He and Will were both COVERED in dirt from all the sliding and diving they were doing to field balls. I can't believe how aggressive they both were! Will dove to stop a ball in the infield and skidded across the dirt. He kind of banged up his arm a bit, but didn't really fuss. He was much more upset when he fell off the merry-go-round into a huge puddle. DIRTY puddle (oh and did I mention his baseball pants are WHITE). I'm going to become a stain expert I think this baseball season. At least I hope so!
Jacob also loved the practice. He played happily outside for over 2 hours while they practiced. He loves being outside. He toddled all around the outfield, but mostly just sat on the blanket watching the boys. He looks so cute with his black eye. (He fell on Saturday after attempting to RUN on the sidewalk, a bad idea when he can barely walk).

Baseball field dirt is the worst. White pants can be bleached, but they will start to wear out from all the bleach if you aren't careful. Oxyclean works wonders on my daughters. Soak for a couple hours and it all should come out.
Welcome to the bloggy world!
